“Where Have you been”. My mum asked. It was a good question I was supposed to be home at four but I desperately wanted to go to the shop and get some sweet sweets but my plan did not go as planned. So now I have to lie. ‘‘I had to stay behind because we were doing a project about how you could fly and row and it took forever”. “Dad also Asked me to pick up some chips and it took forever to find the chips I looked up and down the rows of the shop”. “But i could not find them”. So I just came home. I couldn’t believe it she actually bought it. So I was safe for this time.

Week 8 - Flying Chips by Maclaren

Come in come in, said the fish and chip shop man, come and try our new flying chips, there not to sweet and I don't lie.  I walked in to see 10 rows of flying chips. I was so amazed with them in their little cages so I brought a bag full of them for tea, it took a while for them to fly (fry) but once I got them they were the best chips I had ever eaten in my life.  When I got home my parents asked where I had been and I said  “I was getting flying chips” and the raced to the shop….

Hi I’m Andy I live in Sydney. I like chips and sweet things like candy,anyway when I am older I would like to be able to go base jumping because I really want to fly. Once I saw a bunch of people flying in a row it looked AWESOME! At dinner one night I was talking about how much I wanted to go base jumping but my brother said I was lying because he said I would be to scared to go. In the morning I was still angry at my brother and he was telling my parents how awesome he was so I said it was a lie, it was funny.

It was a lovely morning at the campsite, it was silent except for the mosquitos, lots of mosquitos. Johnny unzipped his tent fly and went to the lake to begin his morning row. He was having lots of fun.

It was now ten o’clock and he was eating hot chips for brunch. He was soaking up the sweet sun and reading his new book called ‘Stormbreaker’ the first book of his favourite series ‘Alex Rider’. It was about a boy who goes undercover as a spy and finds out information for the government. He then fell asleep.

“Down on Nile street is it?” Queried Mark. “Yeah it’s about a mile away” his father answered. “Why don’t you ride your bike to school?” Suggested Jane his younger sister “yes thats a great idea!” Mark replied gladly. “Now you are leaving primary school does that mean you’re not my friend?” Asked Jane with a frown, “No I will always be your friend forever.” Mark replied followed by a gentle smile. “Yay” Jane celebrated. Never think that we will be friends for life. Nothing could break our bond.

Week 8 - New friends by Sam Ctr

On The Moon on the 18th of March 2016 we made some new alien friends who loved to have banana wars. They blended up some banana and they threw it like a bullet. I got hit by five of them and with each hit me they bruised into a nasty black dot that spread fast.  

After the battle they went and cooked up some steamy fresh chips.  They tasted so sweet because the secret ingredient was a pinch of sugar.

After the pains gone we lie down in some relaxing cushioned canoes which fly smooth when the paddles row  through the clouds.

Week 8 - The fishing trip by Caleb

We woke up at 6am in the morning to go fishing. We started packing fishing rods, fly spray and chips.

As we go out on our old row boat we set up the lines with Squid bait. It’s been  long time and we can ’t catch anything. We lie down on our backs starting to eat the sweet chips. We don’t catch anything for the day so we row our boat back in.

On the way back we stop at New World and buy a big red Snapper and bring back home for dinner. The girls never Knew about it. Shhhhhhhhhhh

Week 8 - Dear Diary by Lucy

I always go to the beach with fish and chips every Saturday. I got everything I needed and added a sweet new pair of togs with everything else I needed and stuffed it in my backpack. I got on my bike and pedaled down to the beach.When I saw big signs in a row one was saying “PICK UP THE BEACH” and it was today I was upset because I wanted to go to the beach without it being crowded. There would be a chance for me to lie on the beach, soak up the sun and watch the seagulls fly by. So I biked straight home.

Week 8 - The lucky sweet shop

On hot days I would lie there in my room thinking of what I could do I came up with an idea, I could create a map of my own made up  business!! So I got a sheet of paper and a pen and named the business the Lucky Sweet shop. I decided that the only savoury stuff I would sell there would be hot chips hot dogs and burgers. I said to myself i could make the workers have jet packs on that will allow them to fly.I also decided that i would have a hire able boat to row.

Week 8 - Tsunami by Zoe

As I drifted through the labyrinth of buildings my raft gently rocked, sending me into a sort of trance.  I tilted my head back to gaze at the night sky, a chips packet drifted through the darkness until the wind caught and they danced a graceful waltz, for a second I too felt as if I could fly.  The salty sweet taste of the moist sea air wafted past my nose.  I picked up my oar and began to row.  In the days that followed I once again began to find myself lie that I had been telling myself disappeared and I could finally see things clearly.

Week 8 - Mr Steven Psycho’s sweet shop- by Matthew

I dash into the shop and suddenly hear little kids laughing at wacky rows of sweets all around the shop. On a big white table are two large walking, talking chocolate chips. Both are wearing uniform. One is shooting a mini rifle and the other one is lying on the table acting dead. On the side of the table a sign says REENACTMENT OF THE CHOCO WORLD WAR 1!  then a man with rainbow roll stretches it out and makes a sword and slices a metal pole in half  then he looks at me and passes me talking chip and tells me to keep it. I’ll name it Chipper!

I lie on the sweet smelling grass, The day was so graceful. The sun was high in the sky, staring down at the village, The birds fly all around me, I follow them with my eye. Every moment was perfect. I looked down at the river twinkling along, also seeing some row boats. The afternoon sounds grew into a lullaby, chirping, laughter, singing, water. My eyes shot open smelling delicious chips, warming my taste buds. Suddenly, there was a loud bang. A gunshot. The children’s laughter turns into screams and cries. I leapt up and ran as fast as I could. I guess you can’t call this day graceful anymore….

The air danced around me making me shiver as I walked to meet her. There weren’t many people out at this time of night, maybe I will get away with it. I started to have second thoughts about what I was doing, having to lie to my parents. I turned the corner and walked into a narrow alleyway, it was relatively clean only a few packets of chips and a small row boat. She was standing down the end of the alleyway where she said she would be. I approached her cautiously not sure about what she would do, “You got them?” she asked.  I nodded and showed her the tickets, “Sweet, we fly out tonight”.

I was walking down the street when i felt like something sweet. I stopped by the shop and bought some hot chips. After i ate the hot chips i went kayaking down the local river.It was getting tireing so i decidnt to lie down on the kayak  and go with the flow of the water. I started to row again down the river when a bird decides to fly above my head and poop on it. I eventually got home and washed the bird poop out of my hair which took forever.

Week 7 - Broken Sorrow by Abby

Blankness, darkness, loneliness, as far as the eye could see, My eyes filled with tears as I scan around to find him. Our connection was loose, I didn’t have much time, I screamed with my soundless voice.  Above me a ray of light illuminated  like a chandelier, he came back. He floated down, I floated up, with the illumination blinding me, his face was calm with a gentle smile, his crystal tears glinted as they streamed down his face. Our hands intertwined, we were rejoiced, reunited. Suddenly there was a loud crack…..it was the connection. When the connection broke, we cried and embraced for only a second, then nothing.

connection broke.  He called the power company, and

they got on to it. The power company sent two men

around to check the cabling on the roof. They were

winched up, but then the connection broke, one of

the men fell to the ground, but was unhurt and was

able to shake it off. The other managed to clamber

onto the roof. After that, they called for a cherry

picker to come around, and they got up with that

instead. The man unfortunately had to start his video

game again.

All my brothers fault

Since us kids only the internet my older brother pays for us, but yesterday look what happened…

When the connection everybody was freaking out apart from me. I only use the internet for homework but I was fine that the internet has gone, so I don’t have to do my homework, But unfortunately I still do, writing it in hand BORING!!!

Meanwhile my brothers were trying to find free wifi the only place where they could find free wifi was NOWHERE HAHAHA!!!

But then the connection came on after a week

My brother was so relieved.

It was a big day for Leon, he was going to make a world record attempt for the longest ever successful tightrope walk. The wire was stretched one hundred metres across the stadium and fifty metres above the ground. He was pumped and nervous at the same time,

he was climbing up the ladder feeling ready. The crowd fell silent as he took his first step, he was still on the wire. Another step, another, another. He was doing incredibly well.

He was almost at the end, he had just two metres to go...when the connection broke...

My mum being her turned the internet of .When  the connection broke  I screamed and yelled because I had nothing to do.Than I had a brilliant plan my little sister  Villote likes cleaning rooms and she had to go take the dog for a walk and she didn't want to . So my amazing idea is for me to walk the dog while Villote tidys my room. My plan would've worked if my mum didn't overhear. So I sucked it up and tidy my room.When I had finished tidying my room my mum turned the internet back on.  YAYYY !

I Stare at the screen of my ipad desperately. Thinking that the game download will hopefully install before the 2 hours are up. Or after it’s up the limited edition game gets taken off the app store and it has already been an hour and fifty-five minutes. Then i spot the wifi bar suddenly go a bar down. I realise that the wifi connection is breaking. I dash to mum in the kitchen and she tells me that it’s getting taken out and replaced but it’ll take a week to replace. We ran into the doorways beside couches, whatever that would keep us safe from the large pieces of ceiling falling down on us. The shaking stopped, we ran to find each other. We were all in shock. Sarah the eldest of the family got her cellphone out of her back pocket like it was a ball of fire, she rang her aunty, her uncle and her mother to make sure they were okay... when the connection broke… they were gone.

When the connection broke to the Wifi I thought it was the end of the world because I lost all contact to YouTube my friends and most of all the Internet.  We went straight to the Internet company.  When got there the Internet company they were trying as hard as they can could to fix the problem as soon as we got there we figured out what the problem was there was a fire on the top of the building and so we yelled out  fire fire.  They asked us to call the fire brigade ,when when the fire brigade arrived they sprayed out the fire after the fire was out Internet company could see what was the problem and fixed it up and we cheered for Internet in the morning.

I was devastated I ran to my room with a face full of tears.How could i live? I decided i would run away but then i thought it only a few days oh well i can’t live.

I no longer had the cracking phone as my companion.  Complete emptiness filled my soul.  But then I felt them, those unmistakable soft hands clenching my arm. It was Sarah.  She was gripping me so tightly I no longer could feel my left arm, I nudged her. She loosened her grip. But the undeniable truth was I couldn’t live this way, I couldn’t it was impossible, every time I move I’m in pain. I rested my head on the hospital pillow and said my goodbyes.

“Hacking will be complete in T- 1 minute” said the computer “finally soon all of the world’s nuclear missiles will be mine!” said Dr Inferno waiting for the computer to finish hacking. But then the alarm went off. “ALERT ALL CONNECTIONS TO THE MAIN GENERATOR WILL BE CUT IN T-20 SECONDS”. “NO!!!” doctor said angry because of how close he got to stealing all nuclear missiles controls. When the connection broke all the power in the lab was gone and only the emergency generator was on. “NO I WAS SO CLOSE” said doctor leaving the room.

Rosie said her mum told her that she loved her from day one and that she’d never ...When the connection broke,it was so strange. Her mum died four days later. :(

As my nimble fingers flew across the keyboard,the dull keys came alive and played  like a symphony orchestra.  Beeep beeep suddenly I awoke from my daydream at the same time a warning came up on my screen a virus was detected, it was shutting down everything.  Internet websites and social media had collapsed, satellites were disconnecting. I rushed outside people all over the city were in panic the streets were bustling with people. I rushed to my phone and dialed my mother’s number I tried desperately to call her, but that's when the connection broke.  It was complete chaos with out internet there was no way contact other people, a chill ran down my spine I was completely shut off from the outside world.

Then my brother Harry yelled “SALLY!” and I said what?, he yelled back to me “You used the wifi didn’t you.”I yelled well yes but I just couldn’t help it. “He said well the connection's lost and now we will have to get the wifi fixed AGAIN!” Then  mum walked into the room she said “what’s the matter?” and harry started telling tales.Mum came over to me and said sally now we are going to have to get brand new wifi because the connection is LOST!!!!!!!!

It’s was dark cold and damp when it happened. I was on my ipod and I hear footsteps getting Closer and closer and closer I see Shadows all around me. I’m in my room scared cold and pale. I see my wifi box flashing with it’s bright light. The hairs on the back of my neck are sticking up as my heart goes cold. That’s when it all started, my wifi bar went down one bar and I thought it was just glish but no another bar went down. I was wondering who was doing this but then it happened that’s when the connection broke.

Week 7 - Terminator Fireworks by Rawiri

In the distant future after the Terminator war, humankind was safe because John Connor’s mother Sarah Conner destroyed Skynet, along with the help of Rees Kyle and Pops the Terminator.

So everybody thought to do fireworks for the celebration because of the Terminators and Skynets destruction. They rebuilt all the buildings.

So between 8:00AM to 11:00PM there was a Parade and food, also at the end of the celebration there were fireworks.

This day will become judgment day the secret holiday because the Terminators would never exist in the future.

P.S.  John Connor turned into Terminator 3000 and died. R.I.P.
