We were down at the lake, having a family picnic. Jackson, Isaac and dad were splashing each other in the lake while I plaited Peyton’s hair. Mum jumped up and announced, “Let’s all go for a swim together!” Jackson and Isaac signalled us to come into the water, eager to swim with us. Since we were all in our togs, we got onto the jetty and jumped in. The cold water splashed Jackson and Isaac and they squealed with excitement. Suddenly Peyton screamed and pointed at the water, clinging on to dad. As I stared into the water, it began to turn green...
