Week 1 - Moonbeam by Zoe

Amber awoke at dawn her eyes darted around the room.   Her sister's bed was empty  she quickly shifted her gaze towards  the window, she cringed as the guttural screech of  rusted hinges echoed inside her head.  Hesitantly Amber crept towards the windowsill she could feel her blood pump sending a pulse through her fingertips.  She gazed outside she could just make out the silhouette of her sister in the misty mourning brume.   Amber ran  through the frosty meadow and perched herself behind a cherry blossom as she gazed at the gloomy figure.   She saw the silhouettes outstretched hand but as its pale skin touched the moonlight. It shattered into thousands of light fragments that danced and froliced with the wind until they slowly faded out amongst the  stars.
