Once there was a big bird called bob the bird he is very big and had long legs. The bird was flying freely in the tree tops eating insects, worms and other types of critters.
One day in the forest, he flew up to the sky and saw a strange place with big buildings and skyscrapers, so he went there. He had to travel 5 miles to get to the city. He finally made it to the city and he found a perfect place because it had bird feed and a Lego girl that was skiing and the big bird came over and ate the Lego girl...

The first paragraph set the scene really well. You described the bird and the setting nicely. Don't forget a capital letter for his name, though.
