Week 6 - The swimming race by Sophia

I heard short spouts of cheering as I went under and above the water. I was on my final length of the breaststroke swimming race for New Zealand 14 - 16 years finals. I was coming first, I couldn't believe it! I got distracted by a girl bouncing a ball and as my head submerged under the icy waters for what felt like the fifteen millionth time, BUT the seal of my lips wasn’t tight enough! I began to choke as chlorinated water gushed down my throat! As I flailed frantically, I suddenly began to swallow more and more of the liquid. I made my way to the surface, I realised I was miles behind everyone else and that the race was over. I had come last.
