Milly had been anticipating this night for months, now as she stood on the empty stage her heart was filled with anxiety. She checked her yellow watch only to see it was half past eleven “we can’t wait forever sweetie” vocalized one of the judges. Milly’s father was catching an airplane to watch her violin audition. By the end of the day Milly’s audition had been and gone and there was no sign of her Dad anywhere. The cleaner swept around her feet and just as Milly had lost all hope a tall figure stood at the doorway. She rushed to her father and embraced him. “Can we grab something to eat I haven't eaten all day” Milly sighed.
